sweven (SWEV-uhn) noun
Dream; vision.
[From Old English swefn (sleep, dream, vision).]
I received my daily e-mail from Wordsmith.org and this was the word for the day. The word, sweven, made me think about my clients. I often ask what is your dream or vision for your special event. I often get varied answers, however they all want to have fun! When you are thinking about your upcoming special event, be it a wedding, bar mitzvah, or perhaps simply a gathering of close friends think for a moment about your sweven. I truly enjoy helping clients realize their hopes, dreams, and visions – sweven. Please do not hesitate to call on me to help you in any way I can. I wanted to share a few words about this is a terrific organization based out of the San Diego Area. On June 9, 2007 we had the pleasure of supporting the Brighter Side Foundation in their first annual concert as one of the disc jockeys helping with the show.
Here is a brief synopsis of the foundation taken from their web site...
“The Brighter Side Foundation is a unique non-profit organization dedicated to developing youth leadership skills and empowering teens in Southern California. Our after-school program called “Local to Global” brings global awareness into action by introducing the students to event planning for charitable causes in Africa. Program coursework is designed to expose the student to the skills necessary to conduct a large-scale fundraiser that is held each spring at the World Beat Center. “
